summer book club

i have always wanted to be in a book club. i guess reading the same books as friends sort of serves that purpose, but sometimes i wish someone was sitting me down and forcing me to read. i go through phases of reading i guess, but i have always liked to do it. this summer my goal is to read 12 books by september. a lofty goal for a lazy girl who likes movies, but nonetheless i am putting it out there.

last week i read The Help by Kathryn Stockett, and this week I am on to The Heart is a Lonely Hunter by Carson McCullers. i will try to photograph my book experience as proof i am keeping up with the self-inflicted book club. unfortunately The Help is already on its way to becoming a store credit – so no photo there. oh yes, I also plan to recycle each book that I read, unless it REALLY makes an impression. i do not re-read books, i never really have, but i enjoy collecting them so that they in turn can collect dust. it makes no sense.
